You only live twice

Fullerton reports on the real and promised potential of virtual worlds, as well as the traps that lurk for innocents abroad. Is anyone in charge? ABC launched their ABC island in SL today. Coinciding with its launch was a special report from its Four Corners investigative program titled You only live twice. The show was simulcast to ABC Island with a lively Q&A session inworld after the screening. Additional footage of full interviews with Philip Rosedale, Clay Shirky and Edward Castranova are available online as is the show and its transcript. It will be interesting to watch the uptake of new Australian residents following both ABC’s entry today and Big Pond’s entry last week.
